CLAY SHIRKY ON COLBERT

After posting about Hasan Elahi’s recent appearance on the Colbert Report, I realized that Clay Shirky (who wrote a great essay for the exhibition catalogue) was also on the show last month.

This means that three people involved with The New Normal have now been on The Colbert Report in the past six weeks. First Paglen, then Elahi, and now this. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a clear-cut case of plagiarism - surprising behavior from a late night TV funnyman who claims to make royalty payments each time he sings Happy Birthday. Stephen Colbert, stop this poaching immediately. I demand that you immediately cease the use and distribution of all infringing works derived from my exhibition, and all copies, including electronic copies, of same.
